Nicosulfuron Metabolite ASDM

August 16, 2019

Nicosulfuron belongs to the group of sulfonylureas and is used as an herbicide especially in maize cultivation. It is approved as an active ingredient in Germany, Austria, other EU countries and Switzerland.

Studies show that the metabolite of nicosulfuron ASDM is persistent in soil and has a high potential for leaching into groundwater. Thus a groundwater hazard cannot be excluded by this metabolite.
